Storm photography has been my passion for over 20 years. Ultimately, the closer you are to a storm, the more thrilling it is! Throughout this time, I have captured thousands of lightning images, selecting these as my most spectacular to showcase on my website. All images were taken in and around Winton, Queensland, Australia.

The outer regions of Winton are recognized internationally as a dark sky sanctuary, which is essentially my backyard. I decided to fully capitalize on this unique environment and immerse myself in astrophotography. All of my astrophotography images were captured from Winton and depict celestial objects ranging from 400 to 1,350 light-years away. Each image takes approximately 15 to 20 hours to capture, requiring 4 to 5 nights of imaging before I can begin processing the final result.
